Misunderstood

My intensions misread
Drama always ahead

My heart crushed time and time again
Always having to defend

Tired of not being taken seriously
Wish thoughts and emotions could be expressed fearlessly

Without misunderstanding my true meaning
Ask before interpreting what you think you are seeing

Maybe truth can shed light
To prevent the upcoming fight

But trust has to be in place
If not then this is just a waste

Why bother making you understand
I am not sure if you ever can

I am always straight up, telling it like it is
Why can’t you see it for what it is

Not what you think or want it to be
Not sure if you will ever see
The true me

Always misunderstood…
