Remembering

Remembering

Winds brushing my lips reminding
Heating cold nights
Cooling summer sweats
Quiet in a crowded room
Beams of light in darkness
Teaching the untaught
Smiles replacing emptiness
Kissing tear drops
Loving the unlovable
Remembering his love

Kissing tear drops are the best...

jstar you know as long as I can remember coming here, you are always waiting for somebody or on them... I tell you, somebody should be waiting for you sweet girl... It just does not seem right to me...

all the words you have ever wrote that I have read.... you have a soul worth waiting on...

Nice. Surprises are ALWAYS good, especially when executed just right. I guess we won't be hearing from you for a few days when that happens, huh Jen? LOL! And when we do, you might be spittin poetry about your new lil' bun in the oven LOL! Can't wait for you to explicate the details.

Toodles!

I went to a poetry slam on Sunday in my neighborhood in Chicago...a place called The Green Mill. I enjoyed it. Some really talented ppl. I thought of you...Are you performing any of these? Because they're THE SHIT:)

Traci, yea I may be spittin poetry and be MIA for a lil bit lol...but NOTHING about a bun in the oven...I was DONE having kids 14 years ago lol...My girls almost out of the house...That would be foolish lol...

E, I used to do open mic at Bar Nunn until they closed and reopened as something else lol..I REALLY want to start going to BusBoys and Poets...in DC...

My problem is that I am VERY shy...and get stage frieght...I have done it a few times...The last time I chickened out...and WHY are they always on work nights...I get up too early to be hanging out lol...

Yeah, starting all over again with the infant stage...I can see where you're coming from!

Stage fright...I can say that I'm shy to speak in large crowds too unless it's something that I'm passionate about. Then it feels like nobody's in the room but me. Try some dark shades and a lil' sip-o-something and see how it goes LOL! That just might do it. I do agree with E so gon' get that large audience ON!

I might have to try to shades Traci...and close my eyes...I am always passionate about what I write so thats not the problem...I get nervous with all eyes on me and try to rush through it...so they cant feel it like I can feel it...Its usually a good crowd...So they encourage me to take my time...But my heart beats fast and I get light headed LOL...I need to practice...Last time Malcolm Jamal Warner was to read that night...and just seeing him standing next to me...I couldnt do it...Esp since I used to have a crush on him...LOL...but I dont know...I never went back after that night...I am about to look up the Open Mic Nights at BusBoys and Poets now lol...Might have to get someone to record on their phone or somethign lol

Girl! You sound like Eminem in 8 Mile! You better get on back up to that place and show em' what you working with! Can't believe you had Theo standing next to you though! I probably would have froze too! But then again, you never know y'all coulda been making sweet music together after he heard your words of passion and all! Get back in there and take a focal point with you...somebody you trust and keep that focus until the nerves are gone.

YES Traci...Thats how I felt...I remember running home to watch him on tv and he was next to me...Mmmnnn...FINE in person...
