His Voice-Friday's 55

Good Morning All!  TGIF!!!!!!!!  I just wrote this one for G-Man's Friday 55!  FYI- I added an awards page and picture page, the links are displayed at the top :)  I am sorry to inform you that I removed my "Sexual Healing" section of my poetry.  I have chosen to keep my erotic poetry private.  I have to keep some things personal :)  Have a blessed and wonderful weekend!

His voice makes my heart skip a beat
Sending chills from my head to my feet
My stomach fills with butterflies
Vibrations felt through my thighs
Senses alert
He is the whip cream to my dessert
Tasting his essence
Feeling his presence
His voice comforts my heart
His voice is assurance when we are apart

Spicy hot! Just the way I like my weekends! Nicely done, J. I think the 55 is meant for poetry, my first love, writerly speaking, that is.

This I especially like..."He is the whip cream to my dessert."

First time on your blog....followed you here from Jo's.

Thanks!!

Thanks Yvonne for stopping by! Isnt Jo just GREAT! Actually books were my first love but havent completed one since I was a teen :) Poetry just came natural...I am on my way to your blog to return the favor!

Phew, pass me the fan. if this is cold writing, I can see why the hot stuff is back under the counter. Gone for a poem this week based on the Etheree form created about twenty years ago by an Arkansas poet named Etheree Taylor Armstrong It normally consists of ten lines of unmetered and unrhymed verse, the first line having one syllable, each succeeding line adding a syllable. I added an extra row for the word count and the punch line. See what I mean here.

You are so right in keeping some things PRIVATE.

Have you a great weekend.

*smiles*@John...Yea, my "hot" stuff is very detailed...too detailed I would say lol...I will check out your edits :) Your 55 was brilliantly written!

JStar said...

You could feel it huh Champ? lol...I have to agree...A year is a mighty long time, I tell ya...I just sent him my poem, when he wakes up(Its way too early in Cali now) I hope he enjoys it...

YES Shakira, it takes a strong relationship for a sacrifice like this. At times I thought we wouldnt make it, but all of that just made "us" stronger!

I believe you forgot to add this to your erotic poetry section. LOL! Good stuff.

JStar said...

LOL...Don, its actually not erotic...Thats just how deep his voice affects me...I mean down to my soul...I wasnt even talking about sex at all...Those were just emotions being felt explained...Just from the sound of his voice...

How sweet :) I really like how you made it rhyme and the phrases you chose. Nice

JStar said...

:) Thanks Luna...

Alice Audrey said...

Nice one! Not actually erotic, but certainly sensual.

JStar said...

Thank you Alice! Thats what I was going for...All that I described were the emotions inside that I feel just by merely hearing the sound of his voice...Even just saying "Hello" I guess the sensual part was a natural reaction to have for a man that I am in love with...But this to me, was like missing him, eagerly awaiting him and how just his voice comforts me in his absense...But yea, a lil flirty...I think it was the line "Vibrations felt through my thighs" but that was just the electric feeling all over that I get from his voice and thighs rhymed with butterflies lol...

LOVED IT! All I had to do was change the "he" to "she" and the "his" to "hers"...and it made a LOT more sense.....to me.

BEAUTIFUL words. Thank you!

Your poem is hearbreaking and
heart-inspiring. I have been
guilty of taking the day for
granted, as well as one or two
people. Thank you.

Oopsie - sorry J. I have two
comment boxes, popping up and I
wrote the wrong comment in yours.

Your poem as usual is sweet and
loving. Hope you get a chance to
stop by poemflesh2. and comment
on my latest dialogue. Thanks!
